This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our marketplace platform at Blinko.ph. This policy is in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173, the Data Privacy Act of 2012 of the Philippines, and its Implementing Rules and Regulations. 2. Information We Collect We collect the following categories of personal information: Account Information (your name, email address, and password when you register); Profile Information (profile photo if you sign in with Google); Seller Information (business name, address, phone number, government-issued ID, and DTI registration documents submitted during seller applications); Order Information (delivery address, order contents, and transaction history); Usage Data (pages visited, search queries, and interactions with the platform); and Device Information (browser type, IP address, and operating system for security and fraud prevention). 3. How We Use Your Information We use your personal information to create and manage your account and purchases; process orders and facilitate communication between buyers and sellers; verify seller identities and review seller applications; improve our platform and personalise your experience; send transactional notifications about your orders or account; detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and comply with legal obligations under Philippine law. 4. Information Sharing We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share your information only in the following circumstances: With sellers — your delivery name, address, and order details are shared with sellers to fulfill your orders. With buyers — sellers' shop names and general location are visible to buyers on product listings. Service providers — we use Supabase for database and authentication services. Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority. 5. Data Security We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), row-level security policies on our database, and authenticated access controls. Seller identity documents are stored securely and accessed only by authorised Blinko.ph administrators for the purpose of seller verification. 6. Cookies Blinko.ph uses session cookies to maintain your login state. These are essential for the platform to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser, but doing so will prevent you from staying logged in. 7. Data Retention We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Order records are retained for up to five (5) years for legal and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at support@Blinko.ph; we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. 8. Your Rights Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the right to be informed about how your data is processed; access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information; request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements); object to or restrict certain processing of your data; and file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (NPC) of the Philippines.
